Middle School Youth Group
Middle School Youth Group activities reflect the Five Components of Balanced Youth Group Programming, a program adapted from theYouth Advisors' Handbook, by Shell Tain, published by the UUA. The five components in this program are worship, community building, social action, learning, and leadership. The group plans activities and social events with these elements in mind. Worship - A time and place to share YRUU spirituality and caring with the larger community.
Community Building - A time to share our liberal religious values by getting to know one another.
Social Action - An important way for YRUUers to put hands and feet on our principles while having fun.
Learning - A safe place to expand our horizons and to learn more about the world around us.
Leadership - Learning how to work together, facilitate, reach consensus, foster co-operation, and make sure every person gets heard.
