The Many Paths of Self-Esteem is a program for women and girls age 12 and above. Come and enjoy this fun, interactive workshop and be good to yourself! Self-esteem is organic, and we all need to nourish ourselves as women. We will explore journaling, crafting, and small and large group sharing. Date: Saturday, August 28. Time: 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Compassionate Listening: Healing the World from the Inside Out. Can we look at those who oppose us and see our shared humanity? The core practices of the Compassionate Listening Project strengthen our capacity to connect with the humanity of each person whose path we cross, whether or not we share the same values and behaviors. Opportunities for building bridges emerge as we move beyond a mindset that dehumanizes the 'other,' seeking instead to listen, to feel compassion for, and to see ourselves in the 'other' and the 'other' in ourselves. Theology Book Club. The UUFR Theology Book Club reads and discusses 4 or 5 books per year. The club is open to all viewpoints, reads books on a wide range of theology topics, and maintains a civil discussion in an attempt to further everyone's understanding. Leadership Development
The LEAF (Leadership, Education and Facilitation) team promotes healthy relationships within our community by providing training, resources, and referrals and by facilitating forums and conversations.
