ATTENTION: AUCTION FORMS DUE IN ONE WEEK
Auction/Early Bird Sale Donation Forms are due next Sunday, September 7th - just 10 days away! Please drop your forms off, or pick one up at the Auction table located in lower foyer of Fellowship Hall. You can also instantly print a form out or do it directly on-line at htt;://www.uufr.org/auction/octoberfest.html. On the website are great suggestions for types of donations. If you have questions, pleae contact the Auction Chair - Linda Hames at lish@nc.rr.com Once all the forms are in, the team will be able to create the Auction/Early Bird catalog which we plan to have available for handing out hte following Sunday. So help us by turnng in your forms! Thanks so much!

Be Dazzled By ALL THAT JAZZ
Mark your calendars for an evening of energetic, joyous, toe-tapping JAZZ! On Saturday, September 6, jazz aficionados, and all of us who love music, will gather for a special evening of jazz at UUFR, with performances by the local jazz artist Greg Brink and his band, as well as the acclaimed jazz artist John Brown and his band. The Jazz Fest will begin at 7 p.m., with refreshments at intermission. Ticket prices are $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for students, and tickets will be available at UUFR. This is a Ways and Means event, and proceeds go
to UUFR's general operating budget.

High School Youth Group Lock-in
at 7pm and ending Saturday, September 6th at 10am. See old friends; make new ones. Food, games, movies, and “chillin”. RSVP sara_grover@bellsouth.net or gwenbrink@bellsouth.net. Also need parents to volunteer to hang out with the kids, in shifts. Mark your calendars!

Come Join the Fun While Living Your UU Values!
Join us at this year's NC Pride Parade - we will march wit 20+ other UU congregations on Saturday, September 27th, starting at Duke's East Campus. (That's the one next to Ninth St. on Main St. in Durham) We will need volunteers to staff the UU booth for 1-hour slots from 10am-pm (meet at the UU both at 12:30 to line up). Pianist Jacquiline Schwab to Perform
Pianist Jacqueline Schwab will perform a program of traditional British and American dance music and Victorian parlor music on Sunday, September 28th, at the Fellowship. Well known for her work on documentary films by Ken Burns and others, Ms. Schwab's repertoire embraces folk, classical, jazz, and New Age styles. The concert begins at 3:00pm and tickets are $15 per person. For reservations, call 919-326-2689.

Mark your calendars now for the Octoberfest themed Annual UUFR Live Auction scheduled for Saturday, October 4th. We will have free food, free beverages, free childcare and free entertainment. Coed, Evening UU Book Club Proposed
The Adult Relgious Education Committee is seeking to determine the interest in a once-a month, coed, evening, book club for Unitarian Universalits tht would meet at UUFR.
