JoyUUs Singers is an instant choir, open to anyone who can come to rehearse and sing for a given service. All members are welcome, including families with young singers. Classical Music Club encourages members to explore spirituality through performance, listening, and discussion of classical music. The Classical Music Club hosts monthly programs such as book discussions, presentations, and member performances at UUFR. Come, bring your songbooks, voices, and instruments for an evening of fellowship, music and songs from the folk era and acoustic music tradition. Periodically UUFR musicians share our love of music with people who are in need, such as those with AIDS or those with memory loss, by singing and playing in community venues such as retirement centers or nursing homes. Past concerts have included the Quercus Piano Quartet, a flute-piano duo, a guitar-soprano duo, and the Raleigh Jazz Orchestra, among others.
