SUMMARY:Second Street Shelter collections (previously called The Bryant Cen
 ter collections) resume
DESCRIPTION:Second Street Shelter collections (previously called The Bryant
  Center collections) will resume on July 10th. We will be collecting food\
 , clothing\, and other necessities every Friday morning from 10:30 to Noon
  in the UUFR sanctuary foyer and delivering them to the Wake County Women
 ’s Center on Bramer Drive. The WCWC is now hosting and temporarily overs
 eeing unhoused folks who were previously staying overnight at Second Stree
 t\, which is undergoing significant renovations.\nOur donations will be av
 ailable not only to the unhoused previously served by Second Street\, but 
 also to people served by the Wake County Women’s Center. We have thus ex
 panded UUFR’s opportunity to help people in need in Wake County.\nIf you
  are unable to bring your donation on Fridays\, you can leave your LABELED
  donations in the right-hand cupboard in the downstairs lobby of Founder
 ’s Hall. The Bramer Drive facility has a large kitchen and Women’s Cen
 ter staff will be cooking supper for overnight Second Street folks. That m
 eans it is critical to label items left in the downstairs cabinets as “S
 econd Street Shelter” so we can keep our collections separate from the H
 elen Wright Center‘s collections.\nClick here to sign up
