Meet the Rev. Carrie McEvoy, Our New Assistant Minister

Rev. Carrie will join UUFR in September

When Rev. Sasha, our current assistant minister, announced she would leave UUFR in June after serving the congregation for nearly nine years, Rev. James began the search for a new assistant minister.

Rev. James and the other members of the search team are happy to announce that the Rev. Carrie McEvoy will join the UUFR staff as our new assistant minister in September.

Many individuals applied for our assistant minister position, and our search team interviewed many of them. Rev. Carrie stood out. She possess a calmness, a depth, and a maturity that impressed the search team, which included Rev. James, Ted Spencer, Sandy Pearce, and Rachel Wellons.

Rev. Carrie is a 2022 graduate of Meadville/Lombard Theological School, and for the past two years she has been working as a hospital chaplain. Over the summer, she will be moving to the Raleigh area from Connecticut, where she lives now, in begin at UUFR in September.
