Article II- What does it do?

Sunday, April 7th, 11:30 a.m., Fellowship Hall Room 102 – You are invited to a sharing session this Sunday.  We will discuss Revisions to Article II. Come find out what the buzz is..

The Eighth Principle was not adopted by our denomination, but many congregations did. UUFR did not consider it. We focused on teaching ”Living the Pledge to End Racism.”

“We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”

Now at this year’s national meeting of our denomination, General Assembly (GA), delegates will have the chance to vote to add antiracist and inclusion language to our rewritten covenanting documents. The report is attached. Please see pages 16 and 17 for current Article II and pages 19-23 for the proposed changes.

You are also invited to be a delegate at the all virtual GA this year.
