Dear UUFR Community,
We’re excited to introduce your Ministerial Search Team — elected by the congregation on June 8 to guide the journey of calling our next Lead Minister. Our team has already hit the ground running. We’ve met to get to know one another, explore our individual strengths and shared commitments, and start building a collaborative foundation. We’ve also met with Rev. James to deepen our understanding of UUFR’s history and context — essential pieces for this process. On Saturday, we attended the UUA Transitions Team Search Overview Workshop, where we received a comprehensive orientation to the ministerial search process. We’re grateful to the UUA Transitions Office for equipping us with thoughtful guidance and tools rooted in trust, equity, and transparency. We’re committed to listening deeply, honoring confidentiality where needed, and keeping you informed about the process — and how you can participate.
We invite you to get to know us a little better through the bios viewable here.
What’s Next?
In the weeks ahead, we’ll be:
● Preparing a congregational survey to learn more about your hopes and values
● Planning listening sessions to gather your voices directly
● Continuing to build the materials and structures that will support a successful search
We’ll keep you informed at each step of the journey. In the meantime, you can always check out https://uufr.org/minister-search/
In shared purpose and deep gratitude,
The UUFR Ministerial Search Team
