The film that will be shown in the Sanctuary is “Allegiance: The Musical.” Starring George Takei and based on his family’s experience, it tells the often forgotten story of the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. This painful but touching portrayal of an ugly chapter in our country’s history reminds us what is at stake as our country seems on the verge of repeating its past mistakes.
