A letter from Rev. James

Dear UUFR Members and Friends,

I’m writing to you to encourage you to make a generous pledge to support UUFR during its upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1. Please fill out and return the enclosed pledge form or pledge online at uufr.org/pledge by March 31st.

You and I have been good partners in ministry for the past seven years. I am proud of the work we have done together to make a difference in the lives of UUFR members and friends, our children and youth, and our larger community.

My fondest wishes are that you will continue to be good partners to my successor, not lose momentum during the upcoming ministerial transition, and help make UUFR’s next chapter its best one yet. However, the commitment to making that happen begins not in August, when my successor will arrive, but now.

UUFR depends on each and every pledge for its support. Please look through the enclosed material to find out more about this year’s generosity campaign and to find the right suggested monthly giving level for you and your family. During these troubling times, our country and our world have never been more in need of strong, vital religious communities like UUFR.

Sincerely,
Rev. Dr. James Kubal-Komoto
Lead Minister

P.S. P.S. I know these are uncertain economic times for some people. Please remember a pledge is a promise based on one’s current financial situation, not a contract. If somebody loses their job or faces some other unexpected financial difficulty, there is no expectation for them to fulfill their pledge, so I encourage you to be as generous as you can now and know that if your circumstances change, you can change your pledge.
