Intentionally Inclusive, Liberally Religious, Actively Serving the Common Good

We are Raleigh’s liberal church!

We are an intergenerational community of many backgrounds and beliefs. We are passionate about growing spiritually and working for love and justice in our shared world.

Whoever you are and wherever you are on your own religious journey, you are welcome here.

What makes Unitarian Universalism similar to and different from other religious traditions?

Reverend Dr. James Kubal-Komoto, Lead Minister, and Reverend Carrie McEvoy, Assistant Minister.

We try to make things as clear and easy as possible for visitors to get involved in our congregation.

Sunday, May 11th, 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. “Parenting Our Parents” with Rev. Dr. James Kubal-Komoto, Lead Minister

More than 3/4 of families will eventually take care of an older relative. Studies show that the emotional challenges are greater than the financial or physical ones. This morning Rev. James asks in his message, “How can we best care for those at the end of their lives who took care of us at the beginning of our lives?”

To submit a joy or sorrow to be shared during our services, fill out the form, by 11 p.m. on Saturday.

Our 11:15 a.m. service will be streamed on YouTube as well as in person. To watch the service on YouTube, live or later, visit here.

(This page will be updated by May 15th for the following Sunday’s service.)

Saturday Night Social

Our final Saturday Social before summer break is coming up on May 10th and we are excited to welcome everyone to join for dinner at 5:30 p.m.! To ensure we have enough food for all we are grateful if you would consider signing up to bring something to share. Sign up here.

After the potluck we’ll have games, song swap, a movie, and a labyrinth meditation walk until 8:00 p.m. There will be childcare for kids 6 and under.

This month’s film is “Harold and Maude“, a cult classic about Harold, a young, rich, and obsessed with death who finds himself changed forever when he meets lively septuagenarian Maude at a funeral. (recommended for mature audiences only.)
