More About Kathryn

“I was raised Unitarian Universalist and have attended the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship since I was only a few years old. I absolutely adored all of my family ministry/religious exploration classes, which led me to become a Teen Assistant at ERUUF and then a temporary R.E. Assistant. I am deeply passionate about the values behind UU children’s programming, as it gave me the space to explore who I was without fear of judgment, and it has connected me with lifelong friends. I believe all children should grow up in an environment that celebrates them for who they are and empowers them to explore the world knowing they always have a home to come back to.

I recently graduated from N.C. State University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Social Work, and I hope to begin a doctoral degree program in Psychology after a gap year. While at State, I was president of the UU Campus Ministry and began working at UUFR as a childcare staff member. I am thrilled and honored to be joining UUFR as the Family Ministry Assistant, and I hope that I am able to provide our youth with a safe and fun environment for them to grow.”
