Three Our Whole Lives (OWL) Trainings held in Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh UU Congregations for all levels.
These OWL Trainings are a collaborative project of The Triangle/Triad Cluster of UU Religious Educators and our congregations. We are committed to offering 2-3 levels of OWL training in August each year, so that congregations and other institutions in our region can access affordable and timely training for their OWL facilitators. Supporting Our Whole Lives is a strategic priority for our cluster and our congregations. This program is needed now more than ever.
Cost:
Early Registration Discount: The cost of attending each training is $500 for those who sign up by June 1st.
The cost of attending will increase to $550 for those sign up after June 1st.
This cost will include 4 meals throughout the weekend.
Cancellation Policy: OWL trainings are expensive to organize, so we can only provide a full refund to registered individuals who cancel one month prior to the training. For cancellations less than a month before the training we can only provide a 50% refund. For cancellation less than a week before the training we can only provide a 25% refund.
Accommodations: We are not able to provide homestays at this time, however we do have several hotel recommendations:
*Knowing that major weather events can occur in North Carolina in August, we recommend that you book travel and lodging that is refundable in case we need to reschedule due to weather.
IMPORTANT PRE-WORK NOTICE: Please note there is a requirement of 3.5 hours of pre-training assignments to be completed at least 4 days prior to the training. These involve ordering and reviewing the curricula; watching 2 short videos and a webinar; and submitting brief (1-3 sentences) reflections to the trainers. Participants are also responsible for bringing their own curriculum materials for their level.
