Dana oversees UUFR’s Family Ministry program which supports and nurtures children and youth from birth to 18 years old and their families.

Raised a Unitarian Universalist, Dana has worked on staff coordinating and teaching children and youth at the First Unitarian Church of Rochester, New York, and the Community Church of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, which is also a Unitarian Universalist congregation. Having earned a Master of Science in Education, she also has experience teaching middle school and high school math.
Dana is married and has a five-year-old daughter. Her spouse teaches at the North Carolina Zen Center, in Pittsboro, where they currently live.

“I am over the moon about the opportunity to join your community as the Family Ministry Director. To me it is the greatest honor to share in the mystery, wonder, and quirkiness of the world with children and youth; it is my most joyous spiritual practice. We are blessed with a faith tradition that gifts families with the love and support to grow through questioning and serving this world. I look forward to diving into this adventure with all of you in a few months.“
