Lewis has primary responsibilities for administrative matters at UUFR, including finances, our facilities and grounds, and communications.
Lewis shares the following about himself…
“I was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Bayside, New York. My earliest career aspirations were architect, poet, and visual artist. I have an undergraduate degree from Bard College with a major in Studio Arts, and an MFA (Visual Arts) from Rutgers University. I met my wife Doreen Clark within hours of arriving at Bard, and we’ve been together for 45 years. We are the very proud parents of two grown boys.
“I’ve had a varied career which has included market research, sales, software development, non-profit management, and teaching. I have founded/co-founded and managed a number of companies, a few of which were actually semi-successful. Although some people question my sincerity or my sanity when I say it, being Congregational Administrator (and now Operations Director) at UUFR is definitely the most fun I’ve ever had. I should note that I also count as a fun job my several months working the meat mixer in a frozen food factory, so I may have a unique understanding of the concept.
“My favorite movie is Goodfellas. I enjoy reading mysteries, books about urban history, and Reddit, and working on the New York Times crossword puzzle.”
Lewis serves as a Member-at-large on the Board of Directors of the Association of Unitarian Universalist Administrators (AUUA).
